Here we are talking about true Swedish classics. "Solö Ruff" (or "Flush" as it is also called) is probably one of the most sought after classic wooden boats produced in Swedish shipyards. These boats were first produced in 1952 at the AB Örnmaskiner shipyard in Vimmerby, which later changed its name to the venerable Storebro Bruks AB after its acquisition. Designer Einar Rooney managed to create a timeless classic model, which was produced in an edition of about 600 copies and successfully sold not only in Sweden but also internationally under the name "Sea Chaser" in the English-speaking market and "Adler Vorderkajütkreuzer" or "Adler Boot-Typ Solö" in the German market.
The model underwent several modifications, and there are 4 different versions with distinct design features. The most popular were versions III and IV, in which the length and width of the body were increased and the side window received a new design with two squares in a nice expanding line. In version IV, the cab was inverted and the driver's seat was on the left side. The cockpit socializing space is unmatched even by today's standards, and below deck is a spacious V-shaped sleeping area. The beautiful hull lines designed by Einaro Runiu are eye-catching, so you'll attract plenty of attention during a stylish cruise.
This Solö Ruff yacht, HANUMAN, has been owned by the owner since the early 2020s. The yacht is number 823 and has been tastefully restored. This is one of the best Solö Ruff boats on the market,
