Classic mahogany.
All my life I have loved wooden boats. In this age of plastic and fast consumption, people don't have time to see real beauty, real values. The old generation of wooden boat lovers have gone to heaven, or they no longer have the energy to look after eye-catching wooden boats.
I have more than one wooden vessel, from a motorized wooden boat to 18-60 foot yachts. I know how much time you have to devote to a wooden vessel that you love and that carries you safely across the waters in our short summers.
I couldn't help but pass it by when I saw this wooden boat, a classic English folk boat, bobbing lonely and wistfully on the waves of a small bay in Sweden. That's how I came to own a boat. I brought her to Lithuania.
From October 2017 to June 2019, the yacht was under restoration in a small seaside town. There was a lot of work. Patience was required. There was also a lot of investment and money is hard earned.
Today, the yacht is ready for both long sea voyages and leisurely inland cruising. Built with exceptional materials and powered by a permanently installed diesel engine, this English Folk Boat is a pleasure to sail in the calmest of times and on a stormy day when you have to fight the waves and wind and dock safely in port.
With a shallow draft of 1, 2m this boat can sail on sea, lake and even river - all to be tested in summer 2019.
This exceptional mahogany yacht has already become the pride of the Lithuanian resort town of Nida, and no harbor visitor or passerby passes by without turning around.
However, due to life circumstances, I am compelled to look for a new owner for this yacht who will love, appreciate and cherish her.
