Game Composition

400 square game board

84 elements (21 for each player) four colours: blue, yellow, red, green. Each element has a unique shape:

1 element consisting of one šrune (so-called monomino)

1 element of two šrunes (domino)

2 elements of three šrunes (triominos)

5 elements of four šlines (tetraminos)

12 elements from five šūns (pentamino)

The order of movement is determined by colour: blue, yellow, red, green.



Goal of the game

Place all the elements on the game board or try to leave as few unplaced elements on your hands as possible.



Game rules

During the first turn, each player must place a water element from the corners of the game board.

Players must arrange their elements so that they are in contact in at least one corner with elements of the same colour placed on the game board, but not in contact with them on either side.

Elements of different colours can touch either side.

If a player is blocked and cannot place an element on the board, he/she misses a turn. His opponents move in the normal way.

The game ends when all players have failed to make a move.

To count the points, you need to add up the number of all the elements that you could not place on the field. These are penalty points and are entered in the total score with a minus sign “-”.



You get +15 points if you managed to place all your elements during the game, or +20 points if you were the last person to place an element consisting of one &scaron on the board at the same time.



Main game tactics:

At the start of the game, try to move your pieces quickly to the centre of the board - this will leave you more space for your next moves.

It is best to place the largest elements on the field first. In the middle of the game, there will be plenty of space to place them. Don't forget that penalty points are awarded based on the number of šmuns on the remaining elements, not on the number of elements.

It is important to arrange the elements so that they form a kind of tree with a branched crown. The more angles, the more possibilities for the next move.

Don't forget that the best defence is attack. Find a gap in several of your opponent's elements and use the shape features of the existing elements to break into the enemy's area. This will open up new territory and the possibility of further movements.

Playing with all elements (2 colours per player), try to block one of the opponent's colours using two of them.

Be patient, sometimes you have to wait for your opponent to make the right move and open up a good opportunity to make your move or even block your opponent. Remember that your opponent can counter-attack and take over your position and turn your constructions into a set of useless elements.

During the game you may notice that there are places on the playing field where only you can place your element. Take note of the information, but concentrate on other parts of the board. At the end of the game you can always place the element in the “protected” places.

For a successful game you should remember not only your own elements but also the other elements of your opponents. Competitors simply cannot use some empty sections of the playing field if they do not have suitable elements.

The smaller elements are your main weapon. During the game they can be useful in capturing strategic points. At the same time, you should not forget that there are fewer elements and you should pay special attention to their use. In addition, we should not forget that the same element of the same &scaron last placed on the board brings you bonus points.
