Reducing the working week in Spain: what will change from January 1, 2025On Monday, June 24, the Spanish Ministry of Labor gave a seven-day ultimatum to the Spanish employers' association to approve the reduction of the working week, which the agency has been working on since February 2024.What will change:The working week will be reduced from 40 to 37.5 hours. The implementation of this reform will begin on January 1, 2025.Interim changes:This year, the working week will be reduced to 38.5 hours. These changes will be in effect until the end of 2024 and must be approved by August.Spain work news
