Scrabble (Scrabble, Scrabble or Scrabble) is a classic board game in which you have to form words using letter tokens. How to play Scrabble?
Each player starts with seven letter tokens. You can arrange the words 15 times in 15 šrows on the playing field. The words can be arranged from top to bottom or from left to right (according to the principle of scanning or crosswords). The number of points depends on how long the word you put up is.
What can be done on a turn?
In one movement you must try to use up all the letters you have (up to seven). If you manage to use them to make words, you have done the right thing. The strategy of Scrabble consists not only of selecting the longest words, but also of many other nuances:
You can place the words in such a way as to prevent your opponent from forming his own combinations in the future;
Each letter gives a different number of points: the less often a letter appears, the more points it gives (and the fewer letters you can meet in the game);
There are multi-coloured šūnas on the playing field, each of which increases the score by a letter or a whole word in one way or another;
It is possible to use a "dummy", i.e. a &scaron" without a letter - it is a kind of joker that replaces any other letter;
You can replace any number of letters with a random selection of the remaining letters, but skip the twist.
How interesting is the scrub?
The game is very, very popular: in Europe, for example, it is quite easy to meet quite serious gentlemen travelling by train and going away to Scrabble. There are international and local tournaments, both among juniors and among professional adult players. The game never runs out of possibilities, and it is similar to šaham, which can actually be played forever.
How famous is Scrabble in our country?
In the USSR, a game called "Erudite" was released, which was memorable for many. "Scrabble" is actually the western version, which can be played according to the classic rules:
You can use any form of the word in "Scrabble" but only nominative and singular nouns in "Erudite"
The "Scrabble" dummy remains on the field, and "Erudite" can be returned to hand, replaced by the corresponding šo letter;
In "Erudite" there is no letter "E", there are more chips and the points are scored slightly differently.
Is Scrabble a good family game?
Unquestionably. Scrabble is great for developing vocabulary, linguistic skills and a child's horizons, strengthening his memory and ability to analyse.
